Meet Dr. Matthew J. Midtling
Milwaukee Oral Surgeon
Dr. Matthew J. Midtling is originally from the Twin Cities, MN, and attended the University of Minnesota where he completed both his undergraduate studies in chemistry and his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. After dental school, he completed a general practice residency at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN, followed by a one-year internship in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin. After finishing his internship, Dr. Midtling stayed at the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed a four-year residency program in oral and maxillofacial surgery in 2019.
Dr. Midtling is Board-Certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is also a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Wisconsin Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the American, Wisconsin, and Greater Milwaukee Dental Associations.
Dr. Midtling participates in continuing education programs to provide the most up-to-date and quality care for his patients. He belongs to the Third Coast Study Group – a chapter of the Seattle Study Club – with 30 area dentists and specialty members.
Dr. Midtling has a particular interest in dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants, bone grafting, benign pathology, outpatient anesthesia and orthognathic surgery. He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Midtling is on staff at Elmbrook Memorial Hospital, Columbia St. Mary’s – Ozaukee Campus and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
Dr. Midtling enjoys traveling with his wife and children to favorite destinations like Disney World, Arizona, Colorado and Door County. In their free time they also enjoy hiking, biking, golf, tennis and finding the biggest playgrounds the kids can handle.
